&lt;p&gt;Wordpress has very strong momentum and a frantic community genertaing layouts and plugins, and it works. But keeping up with the vulnerability fixes is no fun at all.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Take a look at something like Movable Type, or B2Evolution, there are plenty of alternatives to WordPress.&lt;/p&gt;
