WordPress to Typo Conversion Script
Jul 10th, 2006 by phil
I have been playing around with Typo and decided to see how difficult it would be to try to migrate my content from WordPress. As it turns out, the conversion script that comes with Typo is completely non-functional with the pre-release version of Typo 4 and WordPress 2.0.x. Like a good open-source user I checked the Typo Trac to find out if anyone else had already implemented this obviously very important feature. No one had. Until now. Here is my ultimate super-duper WordPress 2 to Typo 4 conversion script.
This script has the following features:
- Converts
<code>tags to<typo:code> - Converts WordPress users that have the rights to post articles to Typo Users
- Can convert WordPress categories to Typo tags
- Converts WordPress pages to Typo pages
- and much much more
The tag and code conversion features I borrowed from patch #778 on the Typo Trac.
Update: This script has been added to Typo.

Hi Phillip.
Sorry to be a bother but I came across an issue with the conversion. I posted a request for help at the typoforum and if you had the time I’d be very grateful for your input.

Have a nice weekend and I wish you all the best.

I have the exact same problem. Any suggestions?
Alex
FYI, there was a further bug fix necessary for the script to work. The fix should be in the 4.0.1 release of Typo and later.
